Marche

Marche is a marvellous region in Italy, well worth a visit.
Marche borders on Tuscany, the republic of San-Marino, Umbria, Abruzzo, Emilia-Romagna, and the Adriatic Sea to the east.
Most of the Marche region is mountainous or hilly, and is one of the most beautiful areas of Italy. The Marche coastline is about 180 km long, and its fine sandy beaches can compete with any Caribbean beach. The east coast has relatively few tourists considering all the region has to offer.
The main centre of the region is Ancona, a seaport. From here, boats leave daily for Croatia, Greece and other Mediterranean destinations. Other important towns include Urbino, Macerata, Pesaro, Ascoli Piceno, Senigallia, Mondavio, and of course Fano, which is the closest.

Fano

This town is a must see. It is a fantastic place, with a wall that stretches almost around the entire town. Within these walls are narrow streets and alleys full of shops and restaurants. Fano is a shopper’s paradise, offering all the labels normally found in Milan.
When you get hungry, we recommend the following restaurants:
Vecchia Fano
Osteria Al 26
Cantinone 1958
Vinoteca Fano
Bella Napoli
La Rustita – Braceria Del Porto

A visit to Café Centrale, which serves light meals, is always a pleasure.
